Partial victory for IT recruiter in trademark battle

An established IT recruitment specialist has had a partial victory in its battle to stop Hudson from registering the trademark "Flexhive".

Hudson had sought to register the trademark for its on-demand talent platform, Flexhive by Hudson, which launched in 2021.

But Canberra-based Recruitment Hive, which registered four trademarks the same year, opposed Hudson's application on a range of grounds, primarily arguing it would cause confusion among consumers of recruitment services between the two companies...
