Termination of 'bullied' on-hire worker not a dismissal: FWC

An on-hire employee who claimed he was left "a long time without answers or a job" after a placement ended was not dismissed, the Fair Work Commission has ruled.

The employee had worked on a casual basis, on various assignments, for recruitment company Labour Solutions since 2021. Between March 2022 and March 2023 he was employed directly by a Labour Solutions client, prior to working for Labour Solutions again until November 2023.

His final placement was at a site in Tallawong, NSW, and ended when the client decided his labour was no longer needed. Other employees were also taken off this site at the same time...
