"Unconventional" campaign attracting career changers to recruitment

Parity Consulting is again running a hiring campaign that ignores CVs and considers people with no recruitment experience, with founder Victoria Butt having already 'put her money where her mouth is' to show clients what's possible.

No CVs, no cover letters, no real names and instead a very "cool untraditional interview" is the method behind the process, Butt tells Shortlist.

"I think you can only find true diversity if you take out as many biases as you can... take as much of that subconscious bias out as possible and we believe we will attract some amazing talent, if we just lower the barrier to entry," she says.

Parity is this year looking to hire five new people from its 'career change' program. It follows a similar campaign in 2021, dubbed #RuleChange, which resulted in four new hires – all of whom are still with the company and some are among its best performers...
