Executives staying put to maintain flexibility; Empresaria growing in APAC

While there's huge demand for executives, the market remains exceedingly tight because candidates aren't willing to trade off newfound benefits, says Taplow Global's vice president. Also in this article, how Empresaria is consolidating in APAC.

Senior executives are open to having a conversation "if it's a good career opportunity", says Stacy, also Taplow Group Australia managing partner.

To make a move, however, "it's got to be career right", otherwise they just won't put themselves forward, he tells Shortlist.

"People aren't prepared to put themselves at risk. Interestingly, we're seeing, not at the most senior levels but at a couple of levels below that, individuals are not prepared to trade off some of the benefits that they've secured over the last two years."

Flexibility is a major benefit stopping executives from moving around because they're questioning whether they'll get the same opportunity elsewhere, and as for predictions of the Great Resignation, "we're not seeing it", he adds...
