Hiring managers failing candidates on two key fronts

Hiring managers have been providing a progressively worse candidate experience over recent months, with major impacts on conversion rates, new research shows.

Recruiter Insider has analysed feedback from more than 5,300 candidates between October and December 2021, finding hiring managers' scores (out of 100) have been falling – specifically in areas such as being well prepared for the interview, clearly articulating the role duties, and explaining the company/team culture.

According to Recruiter Insider CEO Justin Hillier, the research reveals two questions that continue to "haunt" hiring managers: what the benefits of working for the company are; and what type of culture the company strives for and how a candidate would fit in...
