Placements "overperforming" with fresh approach to assessment

A high-performance sales recruitment specialist is reporting more than 90% of placements still "overperforming" six months post-hire after adopting data-driven assessment and coaching processes.

Founded by experienced software sales coach Alex McNaughten and sales leader and recruiter Scott Freeman, Apprento is a recruitment and coaching business targeting young or inexperienced people embarking on professional sales careers in high-growth tech companies.

Because it's often hard to select talent with potential if they don't have any experience, Apprento conducts a combination of individual, group and technology-based assessments, McNaughten tells Shortlist.

"We assess everyone that comes through individually, then we do group assessments where we see behaviours in action. Then we use AbilityMap to remove any bias and also give us a deeper insight into what each person is made of."
