Rookies, referrals and recognition strategies in the spotlight

With competition for recruiters showing no sign of easing, three agency leaders have shared how their hiring, onboarding and retention strategies have changed.

"It's been harder and tighter to find recruitment consultants for us as a business," says U&U director Andrea McDonald.

This has been exacerbated by competition now coming from some "different areas", she told last week's Engage conference in Sydney, hosted by Bullhorn.

"When we're speaking to consultants about coming to work with us, a lot more now are also looking at internal recruitment], because it's a role that's in demand and salaries are paying more in that space," McDonald says...
