Six Degrees upskilling hiring managers on candidate "hooks"

Upskilling clients and hiring managers for better two-way candidate engagement is helping Six Degrees Executive navigate what can be a "tough slog" filling roles, says CEO Suzie McInerney.

"One of the key things that we've been doing across the board is really spending time with our clients to help provide them with the insights to help them understand the market that we are recruiting within," she tells Shortlist.

Rather than painting the picture of all the challenges, her team is supporting hiring managers to work together to drive outcomes, McInerney adds.

It also involves upskilling them about "the important hooks" candidates are now looking for, and about what life is like working in that business, she says.

"And really ensuring that they're aware of what candidates are looking for in this market and, where possible, dialling up those aspects..."
