Remote work diluting "the craft of recruitment": Six Degrees

Remote working arrangements are "diluting the craft of recruitment" by reducing collaboration and delaying the training and advancement of young recruiters, says industry stalwart and Six Degrees Executive CEO Suzie McInerney.

Speaking on the 20th anniversary of Six Degrees, which has grown to a team of 110 people with three offices nationally, McInerney tells Shortlist that agencies using the offer of remote work to attract consultants might be damaging their business in the long term.

"I believe that the moments that matter in recruitment happen face to face," McInerney says, adding that in Six Degrees' experience, "success and performance are created in an environment where you're able to collaborate and learn from other people"...
