Adecco's solutions drive paying off; client shift underway

Adecco Australia's efforts to shift its business mix are bearing fruit, with new MD Kevin Alexander noting the talent shortage has increased clients' willingness to consider models that deliver better returns for all parties.

"Our strategy is giving us the growth that we're after in the market, and it's given us the change in our business mix that we've been looking for," he tells Shortlist.

This includes "moving away from panel-led, temporary supply to solutions-focused sole supply and perm".

Although unable to comment specifically on the Adecco Australia brand's financial performance since the new strategy, Alexander notes the broader Group's recent local figures are "indicative" of its strong performance.

"We had a really strong year, really good growth, and it's given us a great platform to build into 2022."

That platform will focus on continuing to expand the solutions offering – RPO, BPO and associated workforce solutions – following some "really good outcomes" last year, Alexander says.

"We delivered over 30,000 people to new work last year alone, which is a fantastic number, and we're really proud of the growth we've had in that space..."
