Agency wins interim restraints against former employees

A recruitment company, whose founder was previously involved in a court dispute over her former employer's confidential information, has won interim restraints against three ex-employees.

Hospitality and mining labour hire company Talent Konnects Pty Ltd (which trades as Talentko) applied for interlocutory injunctions in the Western Australian Supreme Court preventing the employees from breaching their contracts by working for its competitor, Collar Group.

The Court heard the employees each left Talentko earlier this year, citing concerns over hours, commission payments and values alignment, joining Collar Group shortly after.

Talentko's founding director told the Court that throughout the course of their employment, the employees had access to and used its confidential information, including candidates' details and rates, clients' charge rates and contractual arrangements, and onboarding documents...
