Applications at "all-time lows", as agency fees rise

ATS data confirms the ratio of applications per job ad continues to "plunge", while a steady increase in fees suggests agencies are "firming up" their resistance to discounting pressure.

JobAdder has released reports on its aggregate data for the first half of 2022, based on agency recruiters' and in-house talent acquisition activity.

These show applications per job for Australian agency recruiters fell to 12.68, down 18% from 15.8 in 2021, as part of a "steady decline" over the past year.

For in-house recruiters, there's been a significant drop of 25%, down to 14.9 (from 19.9 in 2021). This represents a 68% "plunge" compared to pre-pandemic figures (from 46.5 in 2019)...
