Are you significantly better than tech? Probably not, says Kevin Wheeler

Too many recruiters are making "yeah, but..." arguments against letting AI take over part of their roles, when instead they should be embracing it, says thought leader Kevin Wheeler.

"I think our partnership with tools, technology, artificial intelligence is going to continue to grow, continue to get stronger. I think we in recruiting need to have more of a collaboration attitude, rather than an 'anti' attitude," he told a recent presentation for the Australian Talent Conference.

In exploring his top 10 predictions for the year ahead, Wheeler says technology will inevitably revolutionise traditional recruitment processes.

"We need to understand that we're going to be working with artificial intelligence tools for the rest of our lives. They're going to continue to get better, continue to get more powerful and they're going to continue to take over things that we used to do, and do them as well or better than we used to do...
