Automation eliminating recruitment "administrivia", but barriers remain

Talent acquisition is "transforming" through automation and AI, but the cost of technology remains a key barrier to adoption for more than a third of employers, research shows.

Harvard Business Review and Paradox's report on automation and AI surveyed 326 senior business and HR leaders globally, revealing some 92% of organisations agree that they must invest in TA resources, such as automation and AI, to remain competitive in their industry.

With talent shortages and jobseeker expectations creating volatility in the market, impacts are evident in executives' dissatisfaction with specific areas of their current processes, the report says. Just 28% of respondents agree their organisation is "very effective" at hiring the talent they want.

Hiring speed is an area of concern for TA professionals, with some 48% of respondents stating that they are "somewhat" or "very dissatisfied" with the pace of the process, from application to final offer...
