Candidates "voting with their feet" against office mandates

Requiring a lot of in-office time is a common factor among organisations with high rejection rates for their offers, according to Hudson RPO APAC CEO Kimberley Hubble. Meanwhile the company's financial results have been "coming back" in the June quarter.

"There's an increase in offer-turndown rates, particularly for customers who are being a bit more directive about working in the office," she tells Shortlist.

"There's definitely a correlation we're seeing between how strict a company is being, with expecting people back in the office five days, or four days, and offer-turndown rates..."
