Charterhouse gets on the front foot with "relationship atrophy"

Charterhouse is investing heavily in L&D programs this year, with a specific focus on building recruiters' skills to overcome what CEO Jason Darbyshire describes as "relationship atrophy".

Darbyshire has been working on some major L&D strategies since last year alongside COO Kerry Saes to boost retention and give employees long-term learning that goes beyond their current role.

"[L&D] continues to be the centrepiece of how we engage our people and how we try to drive retention," he tells Shortlist, and the company is developing Charterhouse-specific content "that gives counsel on key skills that we want our recruiters to have"...
