DEI in recruitment: a "constant state of inertia"

Recruiters are overlooking some simple ways to make their application processes more accessible to marginalised candidates, according to representatives from four different organisations.

At a recent event hosted by Levyl on 'building diversity', host and founder Sarah Bolitho highlighted a gap in the industry regarding hiring diverse employees.

"In speaking to our network, and the D&I leaders that we work with, there seems to be a constant state of inertia," she says.

"Organisations are investing in D&I headcount, pulling together strategic targets to do better, and there's a lot of box checking. But overall, there's a big gap between intent and practice...
