Discriminatory interview questions warranted dismissal, but process was unfair

An employee sacked after asking discriminatory questions in job interviews has won his unfair dismissal claim.

In March 2021 the employee of global contract research organisation PPD Australia was tasked with recruiting a position in the company's clinical supplies department.

After he interviewed three female candidates, one complained that: "During the interview, I was asked questions about my marital status and plans for having kids."

Another reported that the employee was "really rude" while the third expressed "disappointment" with the process...
