Employers now more accepting of career breaks

Employers used to be wary of long career breaks in candidate resumes, but changing workforce demographics and the impact of the pandemic has made gaps far more common and acceptable, says U&U MD Craig Sneesby.

A decade ago, a career break was "almost a confession that you couldn't find a job for an extended period", Sneesby tells Shortlist.
