Employers still making "dangerous" hiring mistakes

Unclear job descriptions and slow or non-existent communication continue to be among the biggest mistakes employers make while recruiting, according to new research by Chandler Macleod and Peoplebank.

The two RGF Staffing APEJ brands conducted the research to determine what elements of the recruitment process are most important to candidates, and where employers can do more to adapt to today's candidate-short market.

Of the 180 candidates surveyed, 73% said the hiring process seriously impacts their desire to work for an organisation.

The most important part of the recruitment experience, according to 94% of candidates, is a clear job description, closely followed by prompt response times and receiving feedback from the employer (both 93%)...
