End of on-hire assignment wasn't a dismissal: FWC

An on-hire worker who wasn't offered shifts after being injured at a host site has failed to convince the Fair Work Commission she was unfairly dismissed.

The Fuse Recruitment employee suffered an injury in April this year while working as a production operator at client site Opal Bag Solutions.

She received medical treatment and was certified unfit to work until 14 April, but then received a text message from a Fuse recruiter informing her there was no work for her the following week...
