Fill rates fall amid worsening candidate experience

Hiring managers are providing a progressively worse candidate experience, and it's time for recruiters to work more collaboratively with clients to train them, an industry advisor says.

Recruiter Insider analysed feedback from more than 7,000 candidates between April and June and found that despite the fact that fewer interviews were taking place, the candidate experience has become poorer.

In June, the scores given to hiring managers (out of 100) dropped by more than 1% in areas such as being prepared for the interview, clearly articulating the role duties, and explaining the company/team culture.

Hiring managers' score for expressing genuine interest in candidates' answers and experience also dropped by close to 0.5%...
