Four-day week "doubles" talent attraction

Morgan Consulting has "doubled" the approaches it gets from prospective recruiters after overhauling its employee value proposition, according to MD Andrew Aston.

During the peak of COVID, the now 25-year-old agency took a step back to "look at everything we did" and saw an opportunity to refresh and reposition its brand, he tells Shortlist.

"COVID brought home to roost that the whole market really – the whole industry, not just our sector in terms of recruitment, but the industry at large – went through a huge transformation. I honestly see it as an industrial revolution, I put it up there with the industrial revolution at the turn of the century when they introduced knitting mills and things like that."

A key pillar in the "modernised" brand is the company's 'Work 4, Paid 5' program, which initially began "mainly to support our staff who were doing it tough, so we went to four days just to help them", Aston says...
