Government sets out 'roadmap to full employment'
The Federal Government has set 'full employment' as one of its key labour market objectives, but its whitepaper is at odds with its industrial relations agenda, employer representatives say.
The 264-page employment whitepaper released yesterday provides a "roadmap to position the Australian labour market for the future", and it sets out five "ambitious" objectives.
The first objective is delivering sustained and inclusive full employment. This means "an economy where everyone who wants a job is able to find one without having to search for too long", the report says...
