Hays' Australian gross profit fell 9% year-on-year in constant currency during the three months to March, according to the company's latest trading update.
This follows a 6% fall in the December quarter, and a 1% increase in the September quarter.
In New South Wales and Victoria (which account for 51% of Australia), gross profit fell by 11% and 13% respectively. Queensland and WA both fell by 4%, and ACT by 11% (all cc, year-on-year)...
