Hays 'high income' worker gets fresh chance to claim unfair dismissal

A worker claiming that Hays unfairly dismissed her has won an appeal, with the Fair Work Commission finding an earlier ruling that she earned above the high income threshold was made in error.

The worker was engaged by Hays, through contractor payroll platform PayMe, to provide her services to Hays' client Filosoph-e. The engagement started in November 2020 and ended more than a year later, by which time her hourly rate was $104.97.
