"Healthy" hiring demand set to continue in Q2

Australia's current "healthy" hiring demand looks likely to continue through the second quarter of 2023, according to the latest major survey from ManpowerGroup.

ManpowerGroup's Employment Outlook Survey (MEOS) shows 44% of employers intend to add headcount in the next three months; this is down by four percentage points from the current quarter.

Some 40% of employers plan to keep workforce levels steady, 13% expect a staffing decrease and 3% are undecided, bringing Australia's net employment outlook (NEO) to +30% after seasonal adjustments – the strongest in APAC, while down two percentage points quarter-on-quarter...
