Hoban makes onboarding faster, while 'anchored in connections'

A major onboarding update has helped Hoban Recruitment place on-hire workers at an unprecedented pace and scale, according to CEO Alison Watts.

"It's really important that we're able to onboard people quickly and effectively, and give them the information they need to be able to be on-hired to our various clients around Australia," Watts tells Shortlist.

"[This is] important because the pace in the industry has sped up tremendously, but also it's really important that people really understand policies, what they've got to do, and how they've got to do it, and also that they feel like a part of the team as well."

Hoban's system is a blend of in-house development – for example its rostering and geotracking – and "industry leading" third-party providers (for onboarding, reference checking and so on), and allows it to assign candidates various modules to complete depending on where they're working and the role they're undertaking, Watts says...
