Ignite sees off spill motion, but still has "hill to climb"

Ignite CEO Cameron Judson has outlined a new "one way of working" strategy for the business. Meanwhile, the company's remuneration report received a second strike at today's AGM.

At today's meeting, 56% of shareholders voted in favour of re-electing chair Garry Sladden, and against electing Daniel Altiok-Brown and Trevor Robertson, who were again nominated by activist shareholder group Octavium Capital Investments (read about their previous board tilts here). Altiok-Brown and Robertson received 40.35% and 43.90% of votes in favour, respectively.

And although the company's remuneration report received a second strike, with 41.26% of votes against it, the resulting spill resolution was unsuccessful, receiving only 41.43% of votes. (Ignite recorded its first strike at last year's AGM).

According to Judson, who spoke to Shortlist soon after the meeting, this means it's "back to business as usual"...
