IT demand "still going gangbusters" and expected to stay buoyant

Demand in the IT and digital market is "still going gangbusters" in NSW, with salaries up 20% or more, while in Queensland the pace is no longer "frenetic" and Victoria's market has softened, a new Peoplebank report shows.

According to the Peoplebank Salary Index, compiled using LinkedIn data and its own recruitment insights, there's been a particular rise in demand for talent in Queensland, Western Australia, and South Australia.

In terms of IT growth by industry, there's been sizable development in gaming, followed by machinery, biotechnology, environmental services, market research, management consulting, and computer and network security...
