"It's crazy to complain about a candidate-poor environment"

It's time for recruitment leaders to stop complaining about the talent crunch and adapt to the new environment, says industry advisor Greg Savage.

"You have to switch hats and start to think about how you lead a business in a candidate-poor environment – probably an environment that's going to last for some years," Savage told the recent Buy Grow Sell Summit, hosted by Aspect Legal and Exit Advisory.

Rather than being a problem, a candidate-short market is good for growth, he adds.

"Having no clients is a pain, but having no candidates is an opportunity. It's an opportunity because clients need us more than ever before...
