More caution around job-switching, as agency use increases

A greater proportion of employees are using recruitment companies to find their next role, but younger jobseekers are more likely to look on social media when switching jobs, new research shows.

The annual Randstad Employer Brand Research surveyed more than 5,900 Australians, showing 72% of Australian employees use job boards when looking for a role, especially women (80%) and middle-educated jobseekers (80%); Google is the next most effective channel at 42%.

Some 91% of board users list Seek as their top choice, followed by Indeed (38%). (This is a significant change from last year's research, when only 26% of respondents used Google, 69% of job board users used Seek and 44% used Indeed...
