New screening standard applies "great conceptual thinking"

Recruiters that proactively adopt a new, little-known workplace screening standard can mitigate risk for their clients and themselves, and secure a competitive edge, a compliance specialist says.

Workplace screening standard AS 4811:2022 represents a major upgrade of the 2006 employment screening standard, and reflects the heightened importance of mitigating against personnel-related security risks, Certex International MD Dianne Gibert tells Shortlist.

It was introduced without fanfare and, as far as she's aware, wasn't even mentioned in the recent whole of government recruitment tender, which means those who start complying now can expect a competitive edge in the market...
