PeopleIn acquisition opens door to more than 50k overseas workers

PeopleIn's latest acquisition will provide access to more than 50,000 overseas workers, with potential to broaden its scope to other key sectors, CEO Ross Thompson says.

"We're really excited about the acquisition of FIP. It's a great addition to the business but also really supports our clients," he tells Shortlist.

"We wanted to leverage our size, leverage our balance sheet to do a very strategic acquisition like FIP," which is an at-scale international recruitment agency bringing in 4,500 workers from the Pacific Islands, via the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme, Thompson says.

"That at-scale element is key for us. We're talking more than 50,000 additional workers that we can bring in, but also being publicly listed we've got the right infrastructure, processes, procedures, governance to make sure this is done properly...
