Profusion attracting top billers with alternative career path

Financial services recruiter Profusion Group has added a new type of director role to its business to attract, reward and retain top billers who don't want to move into management.

The change is part of 'project clarity', which aims to provide clearer career paths inside the business, and is one of CEO Matt Bennett's initiatives since taking the helm just over a year ago.

Previously, he tells Shortlist, "there was only really one pathway for someone to go to after associate director, which was into a team leader role".

So the new role of 'business director' now exists, in recognition that some of the best recruiters don't necessarily want to move into people leadership and would prefer to remain an individual contributor...
