Recruiters a key target as malicious data attacks increase

Recruitment is among the top five sectors experiencing data breaches, and almost all (97%) have involved malicious or criminal attacks, according to a new report from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

The OAIC data reveals a 26% increase in breaches reported under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme between July and December last year (497) compared to January to June 2022 (393).
