Remote work posing mental health risks for recruiters

The recruitment industry could be facing "more severe" mental health risks than others in the wake of increased remote working, an industry auditor says.

The potential negative impact of working from home is now receiving "greater recognition", says Certex International MD Dianne Gibert.

"It's not to say that working from home per se is wrong, but working from home without the necessary controls can lead to poor mental health outcomes."

Social isolation is a key issue, Gibert tells Shortlist. "A large majority of people are choosing to stay at home and that's their call, but what comes with that is the problems of social isolation and unless people have good social networks... that can be an issue...
