SJSP legislation will make our EAs "irrelevant": Hays

The Federal Government's 'Closing Loopholes' legislation, if passed, will make the numerous enterprise agreements Hays has negotiated with its on-hire workers "irrelevant", its CEO says.

Hays' submission says the EAs are "valid industrial instruments, agreed through regulated mechanisms" but they will be "rendered irrelevant" if host employer site agreements automatically take precedence under the proposed 'same job, same pay' laws.

Hays Australian CEO Matthew Dickason says this outcome is in complete contradiction to the Government's claim that the legislation will strengthen the enterprise bargaining system...
