Standards slipping, time to rethink "level of respect": P2P MD

Despite his company being recognised for excellent candidate care recently, People2people's Mark Smith says standards have fallen across the industry and need to lift.

People2people won this year's RCSA candidate care award (among others) but Smith says the company isn't doing anything new or different.

Rather, the way the industry is now – focused on speed to market and channels – has made it easier for most recruiters not to provide a great candidate experience.

"Some of the standards in the industry have slipped and we're no different, but I think that things that were considered 'basics' now are – on many occasions – being lost," he tells Shortlist...
