Workpac facing first 'same job same pay' application

A union has today lodged the first 'same job same pay' (SJSP) application, at a Queensland coal mine where Workpac supplies on-hire labour.

Batchfire's Callide mine, at Biloela in Central Queensland, is the first mine subject to an SJSP application, but MEU general president Tony Maher says the union "[intends] to have many applications made and approved by the FWC to deliver higher pay".
