'Workplace influencers' hold key to retaining more recruiters

'Workplace influencers' can play a critical role in recruitment companies, provided leaders prioritise identifying and then listening to them, according to Est10 managing director Roxanne Calder.

"In the past, we might have thought of them as being political, or troublemakers, or too vocal, but I'm not sure that that really is the case," Calder tells Shortlist.

These employees have always existed in organisations, but leaders across all sectors are only now harnessing their potential, she adds.

"They've always been apparent, they've always been there, it's just that now, we're like, 'oh actually, maybe this is a good thing' because the world is all now about – as it should be – transparency and authenticity, and these are just people who are speaking their views..."
